Texas Instruments Sitara UDS Bootloader

January 2, 2025, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today the release of a high-performance UDS flash bootloader for the Texas Instruments AM263x microcontroller. The company has now developed and delivered over 100 bootloader projects to their global customer base supporting multiple interfaces such as CAN (J1939 and UDS), LIN, and Ethernet (including 10BASE T1S). The Simma designed bootloader comes with several optional custom design features including encryption, authentication, and host application adapter and flashing protocol.
The feature set of the newly released Sitara UDS bootloader includes the ability to flash update all four cores of the AM263x MCU, supports vFlash, and deploys A/B partitioning. Additionally, the bootloader uses a CAN device driver that supports both standard CAN as well as CAN FD.
As Texas Instruments’ preferred CAN solutions provider to their global customer base, Simma Software has a long history of working with all the various TI microcontroller families. The company continues to expand their CAN based products including MCU specific CAN-FD device drivers and target specific flash bootloaders.
