September 1, 2020, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today the release of a high-performance Diagnostic over Internet Protocol (DoIP) software stack, developed for a global autonomous vehicle company. As Ethernet becomes more widely adopted by automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, this software release is an important addition to the firm’s software offerings.

ISO 13400 describes the general use cases and communication scenarios which are covered by an Internet Protocol-based vehicle communication standard, and allows for UDS to operate over a TCP/IP or UDP/IP protocol. This is turn allows customers a higher data rate and a seamless connection from edge to cloud-based servers.
