Simma Software Adds Support for Safety Critical MCU

CAN Support for the TMS570 Family
February 15, 2011, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today that their family of CAN device drivers now support the Texas Instruments’ TMS570 ARM Cortex-R4F floating point MCUs that meet IEC61508/SIL3 safety standards. With this support, all of Simma Software’s protocol stacks, including SAE J1939, ISO 15765, and CANopen can be seamlessly integrated into application firmware for these devices. This CAN device driver was designed for light, medium, and heavy duty OEMs and Tier One suppliers wishing to develop safety critical solution.
