J1939 Software in C#
October 1, 2019, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today the release of a new addition to their J1939 suite of software products with a C# version of the protocol stack. This new version of J1939 software continues to cement Simma Software as one of the foremost experts in the embedded software industry for J1939 and other CAN related software solutions.
Software engineers from Simma designed the C# J1939 software by implementing an API wrapper around the standard C code version of the stack. The ANSI C version of J1939 software has been out in the marketplace for nearly 15 years, and is used by automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers all over the globe.
The new C# version for J1939 allows customers the ability to run J1939 in a Windows environment. This is especially useful for the design and implementation of a PC based service or diagnostic tool for the commercial automotive industry.
