Simma Software Introduces J1939 and J1708 Vehicle Diagnostic Cables

Press release date: July 24, 2013

J1939 Cables

July 24, 2013, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today new offerings to their growing list of hardware and software solutions for OEM’s, fleets, and service providers in the heavy duty and commercial vehicle market. J1939 and J1587/J1708 vehicle cables are now available for purchase.

According to JR Simma, the Founder and Director of Engineering, “these 9-pin, 6-pin, and dual head connectors are a natural addition to our product offerings. Due to the dramatic increase in sales for our Vehicle Network Adapters, we wanted to provide our customers an option to purchase the necessary cables to connect our adapters to their vehicles. Now that we offer the cable that connects to the vehicle, an adapter which handles the communication protocols, and the software application that interacts with a driver, we have the final link in the communication chain between a vehicle network and an operator.”

Due to the desire to continue to expand its presence in the market, the company is adding an OBD2 cable to their offerings, as well as an innovative, patent pending miniature adapter. These additional products will be available in Q3 of 2013.
